Job Title: Senior QA Engineer (QA084)

Description:

As a QA engineer at DHAP you will work closely with our software developers and other QA engineers to design, document, implement and maintain test cases and scripts for our clients’ web applications. The environment is Java/J2EE so you must fully understand programming concepts and constructs, be visually accurate when determining design compliance and love utilizing UI tools to analyze application requests and response data. You will also need to understand performance testing principles, have a good deal of experience load testing, be proficient in CVS and familiar with team site content. As a member of the QA team, you will need killer instincts for breaking things, enjoy uncovering really complicated bugs and really, really care about pleasing our customer base.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing of effective testing approaches

• Authoring Test Plan and Test case documents

• Acting as QA lead on large development projects

• Overseeing new employees and contractors

• Planning, developing, maintaining and automating of performance tests

• Creating automated test scripts with tools such as Selenium or IBM functional tester

• Working closing with the development team to increase testability

• Breaking and troubleshooting high profile, 24/7/365 web sites hosted chiefly on UNIX systems

• Filing detailed bug reports, tracking and verifying bug fixes

• Organizing and maintaining QA documentation

• Managing the release of application code to client environment via CVS code migration

• Migrating and deploying application assets to client environment using Interwoven’s Teamsite application

• Reviewing product and test code

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software QA

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Math or equivalent work experience

• Experience planning, developing, executing and automating tests and reporting of results

• Experience with two or more testing techniques (unit, functional, integration, system, GUI, black/white box, regression, performance, stress, etc)

• Experience with QA tools (bug tracking, test harnesses, build systems and test automation tools)

• Demonstrated understanding of web architectures, Oracle, Apache and WebLogic

• Experience programming in Java, C++ or other OO language, Perl and/or SQL

• Understanding of the SDLC

• Administrative abilities with Windows and UNIX

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Attention to detail is a must

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Working knowledge of JUnit Hudson and Ant

• Working knowledge of Teamsite or other enterprise content management system

• Project planning and tracking skills

• Administrative experience with Oracle, Apache and WebLogic
