You will be:

Part of a development team whose focus is on developing full cycle development projects for new-build ecommerce sites, development of exciting sites and support.

This includes:

• Developing components of new ecommerce websites
• Developing new modules/plug-ins and administration tools for Magento, Joomla and Zend
• Developing code enhancements and new features for our existing ecommerce sites.
• Supporting existing clients sites
• When lead developer on a project build, in addition to the above you are responsible for technical delivery of the project including;
o Creating a detailed task list, with task estimates
o Assisting the Project Management team with creation of the project plan (advising on dependencies, and resource assignment)
o Regularly reporting on progress to the Project Manager
o Technical coordination of development team members and any outsourced developers who are additionally assigned to work on the project
o Ensuring standards of code are maintained and development processes are adhered to by other team members and reporting any concerns.

You should have:

• At least 3 years commercial programming experience
• Be used to working in an Agile environment
• Experience in a web based company/agency
• Proven ability/experience problem solving and fault finding
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and resolution
• Be able to work both in a team and individually

You will need to possess experience in

• PHP 5 with strong Object Orientated Programming
• Magento Ecommerce Platform
• Advanced JavaScript
• MySQL
• Zend framework
• CSS
• XHTML
• XML
• XSLT

Optionally the following would be useful but not essential:

• MySQL optimisation
• Scriptaculous or JQuery
• AJAX
• Joomla CMS platform
• Good Knowledge of Bash & Linux systems
